After winning the championship in LSX Real Street last year and moving up to the NMCA Extreme Street Class for 2016, team ARH/Fark’s Supercars has scored its second win of the six race season. After a slow start, with a missed first event preparing a new 427 bullet that wasn’t quite ready and battling tuning issues at the second and third events, the first win came in Indy with a dominant performance that rocked the Extreme Street field.

That dominance continued without fail last week at Route 66 in Joliet, IL. Called the “Super Bowl”, this once a year event brings NMCA and NMRA racers together to duke it out for the coveted Super Bowl rings. To qualify for the Super Bowl you must first win your class, which they did with four incredible rounds of racing, including number one qualifier and low ET of the weekend.  The ARH/Fark’s team contributed once again with a huge win during Super Bowl competition running 7.55 at 181 MPH and giving the NMCA a fighting chance to beat the NMRA. On the cusp of losing, team NMCA won three consecutive races to beat the NMRA 7-6 and take the championship  rings for 2016.

Driver for the 2016 season and member of the ARH family- Louie Filippides- did a masterful job behind the wheel all season. Louie is the Purchasing Manager at ARH with tremendous responsibility, but his ability to race the team Camaro, combined with the tuning prowess of George Farkouh and Crew Chief Farid Farkouh, have always made the ARH/Fark’s team very successful through the years - and 2016 is no different.

With one race left in Norwalk, OH in late August, the team is looking for three in a row. If you have a chance to visit us at any event, we’d love an opportunity to meet you. Stay tuned.
